Johnny's Character Analysis

For the book The Outsiders I chose Johnny to be my character analysis. I chose Johnny because he was my favorite character from the book The Outsiders.

One main thing that I learned from Johnny is that no matter what your past is you can be different. When Ponyboy described him in the book he said that Johnny was a lost puppy and didn't know where to go and has been beaten down to many times. Johnny doesn't have the best background his parents don't really care about him and his dad is always hitting him for no reason. He is also known as a greaser and greasers don't really have the best reputation because they aren't as rich as the soc. I think Johnny really grew as a character throughout the book. He risked his life to save kids from a burning church and he didn't care about what would happen to him he just wanted to save other people's lives. The thing I liked the most about Johnny is that in the beginning of the book he was a really beaten down person but throughout the book you can see that Johnny starts to come out of his shell and becomes braver and more courageous. Even though his background was bad he was still known as a hero.

One song that I think would represent Johnny is 'Creep by Radiohead". I think this song represents Johnny because the song is talking about how he doesn't belong here and how he is lost in his own world and would rather just disspear and doesn't think anyone would care. This reminds me of Johnny because he is lost and he's kind of antisocial besides the "gang" he hangs out with. I really liked Johnny and I hope that I hope that I get to read more books with characters that have similar personality traits as Johnny.

Throwback Blog

When I was a child my first book that I successfully read was "The very busy spider" By: Eric Carle. I remember this book vividly because the first time I was able to read it I couldn't stop. I was so proud that I had read my first book so I kept reading it over and over again, and somewhere in my room I think I still have the book. When I was around the age of 6 or 7 I absolutely loved the peanuts/snoopy movies. Every time there was christmas, thanksgiving, halloween or any other holiday there would be a snoopy movie. I would remember that I would always be really excited to watch these movies because I always thought that snoopy was a really cute dog and his little birds called Woodstocks were really cute to. Some of my favorite tv shows as a kid were Teletubbies, That's so raven, The suite life of Zach and Cody, The powerpuff girls, Fosters home for imaginary friends, Boy meets world, The proud Family, Spongebob, Jimmy Neutron, Wizards of Waverly place, and much more. I think my favorite show out of all these would be That's so Raven. I really liked that show because the main character (Raven) had visions throughout the show so she could predict the future and she kept it a secret from everyone except her friends. These are some of the memories I have from my childhood.

Blogging Tips

When reading these blogging tips I think that two main tips I should focus on are Punctuation and
Grammer and Read and Comment.

I think I should work on these two tips because I haven't really focused on these tips. Punctuation and Grammar is a important one for me because usually when I'm writing a blog post I just think of what I'm gonna write about to get the blog done am dover with. I don't really pay attention to my grammer or puntucation because I didn't really think it was important. However now I think differently, using proper grammar is important because if I don't use it, it makes me sound unprofessional or lazy.

Another tip that I should really focus on is read and comment. I never really read anyone else's blogs because I'm usually just focused on mine. Most of the time I'm just trying to get my blog posts out of the way so that I can do other things, but I need to stop doing that because blogging is important it makes me a better writer and that's a skill that I've always wanted to get better at.
I think this article really helped me look at the things I need to work on for my future blog posts.

Best Trip Ever

The best trip ever for me would be to go to New York. I would love to go to New York because it's a beautiful place to go. With all of the skyscrapers and stores I would love to visit. Especially at night when all of the lights are on it adds a really pretty effect to the city. One of the best parts of NewYork is that it's so big. It would be a really good experience for me to go because it's really culturally diversed. It would be a great place to meet new people from different places. Something that's different about New York is that almost all of the stores and restaurants are usually still open late at night, because it's known as the city that never sleeps. Lastly one of the places I would really like to go in New York Is the Statue of Liberty, I just think it would be a once in a lifetime experience and it would be really pretty to see in person. These are some of the reasons why New York would be one of the best trips ever.

In 10 years

In 10 years I'll be 23 and I see myself living in an apartment with my best friend Yazmin. Living in Chicago and  attending UIC college studying to be a lawyer or nurse.

I'm still in eighth grade and I play basketball and volleyball hopefully in the future I will still be playing volleyball and basketball. When I grow up I would like to be a lawyer because I haven't had the best childhood so I would enjoy helping people as a career. One of my biggest dreams has always been to be an actress because I always thought it would be a really cool experience for me.

One of my biggest aspirations in life would be to be happy and accomplished with my life because people would always remember you as a joyful person this is where I see myself in 10 years.
